Two-factor authentication (2FA) to keep your account safe
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an electronic security measure that permits access to a person’s account only after successfully presenting two forms of authentication. It’s used to ensure people are who they say they are and protect their accounts and information with more than just a username and password, which can be compromised.
Walls.io supports 2FA for your account. You can enable it for the main account as well as admin and moderator accounts to minimize risks and feel safer knowing your account is doubly protected.
To secure your Walls.io account using 2FA, you’ll need to install an app like Google Authenticator or use a password manager with 2FA support like 1password. Walls.io supports any standard authentication app; these are some of the most popular:

- 1password (all platforms)
- LastPass (all platforms)
Data privacy for you and your social wall’s visitors
Beyond 2FA, we make sure to add extra protection to your users’ and visitors’ precious information.
No tracking, no cookies, no 3rd-party services on our social walls
Our frontend services (i.e., the social walls embedded on your website, displayed on digital screens, or in a web browser) don’t set any cookies by default. We're not loading any 3rd-party widgets or services (f.e. Google Fonts, Google Analytics, etc.).
GDPR compliance and additional services for enterprise customers
As an EU-based company, Walls.io is fully compliant with GDPR. Here are some of the services we offer to further protect your data:
- We offer our enterprise customers to sign a GDPR-compliant data processing agreement (DPA).
- We assist our enterprise customers with security/vendor assessments.
- We host our infrastructure with Amazon AWS, and we are exclusively hosting in their Frankfurt, Germany, data center.
- We are not using any sub-processors outside the EU and are compliant with GDPR data export regulations.
- We have vetted all our sub-processors thoroughly and signed data processing agreements with them.
- We support all rights GDPR grants individuals concerning the personally identifiable data we process (i.e., right to erasure, etc.)
Make your social wall private
If you don’t want random visitors on your feed, you can set your social wall to “private” in your Walls.io settings. With this option enabled, only those with whom you share your private link will be able to view the social wall. It will also not show up in Google search results. Learn more.
Take social media out of the equation
If you want your social wall to display native content and cross social media out of the equation, then Direct Posts are for you. The Direct Posts feature allows people to post on your social wall without having to use Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or any other social network.
